Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield Finalized For Spiderman 3, Reports Suggest

Reportedly, fans will get to watch Andrew Garfield return as Spider-Man concerning Marvel Studios and Sony’s Spider-Man 3, reprising his character from the Amazing Spider-Man movies. Andrew’s time as Spidey had come to an end back when Sony chose to bring an end to his franchise soon after The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

That gave way to Tom Holland to be presented as Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the last summer, Marvel and Sony came up with a deal for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man to come back in another solo film and team-up. As of now unnamed Spider-Man 3 is currently getting filmed and aspects about the film’s roles are indicating that it will be playing with the multiverse.

Earlier this week, it was settled that Benedict Cumberbatch plus Jamie Foxx would perform in Spider-Man 3. Following a slew of reports, the news is implying that former Spider-Men, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are coming back to their characters for the very first live-action Spider-Verse.

It was affirmed by sources that the artists will play Peter Parker adjacent to the newest neighborhood star, Tom Holland, though nothing has been officially declared from any management still. Not much else is known regarding the movie including its names, but additionally, reports assume that it will be Doctor Strange who gets the three characters together to destroy a mutual enemy.

Andrew Garfield & Kirsten Dunst Set for ‘Spider-Man 3’; Tobey Maguire & Emma Stone Rumoured

Today is every Spider-Man fan’s dream; a lot of old characters will be making a come back in Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 3.Earlier today, The Hollywood Reporter broke that Doc Ock himself, Alfred Molina, will be coming back for the third installment.

Now, Collider is reporting that Andrew Garfield WILL be coming back as his version of Spider-Man and Kirsten Dunst WILL be coming back as Mary Jane Watson. The site goes on to say, if they can work out a deal, Maguire will be returning and they’re hopeful Emma Stone will come back as Gwen Stacy.

Andrew Garfield portrayed Peter Parker/Spider-Man in Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man 1 & 2, while Emma Stone portrayed Gwen Stacy. Both films went on to make roughly $1.5 billion together. Garfield’s involvement was first reported by FandomWire.

Dunst portrayed Mary Jane Watson in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man films, while Tobey Maguire portrayed Peter Parker/Spider-Man. All three films went on to make $2.5 billion collectively.

Electro and Doc Ock are only two of the syndicate’s most notable members, but if you include Michael Keaton’s Vulture, Michael Mando’s idle Mac Gargan (a.k.a Scorpion), and Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio – assuming that he’s alive – the gang would only be one member away from completion.

Andrew Garfield Reportedly In Talks For Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness

Following Benedict Cumberbatch and The Amazing Spider-Man 2‘s Jamie Foxx signing on for Spider-Man 3, everyone’s eyes are on the movie as our best bet for the Holland/Maguire/Garfield team-up that we’re all waiting for. It’s important to note, though, that the threequel has a lot to tackle, so maybe it would make the most sense if it only sows the seeds for a Spider-Verse event in a later film. Like, say, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnesswhich drops in the spring after the wall-crawler’s next flick.

That’s what a new report is claiming will happen, at least. Small Screen has shared that their “inside sources” have told them that Andrew Garfield is in the midst of finalizing talks to return as his version of Peter Parker in Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. SS previously reported that Tobey Maguire is doing the same, so both legacy web-slingers will allegedly appear in the sequel.

“Garfield and Marvel are currently working out scheduling conflicts. Garfield is very keen on appearing in Doctor Strange 2, as is Marvel. They just have some final kinks to work out and also need to move things around.”

Small Screen goes on to say that the aim is for this cameo to set up more appearances from the two actors in future projects, including a Spider-Verse live-action movie. This somewhat fits with what we’ve been hearing lately as well, which is that Marvel and Sony have plans to include the duo in upcoming TV series and additional films. Insider Daniel Richtman has claimed that Garfield is reluctant to sign up, though, due to his fraught relations with the latter studio, which conflicts with SS’s report. It’s possible that he’s got over these worries, however, and is now happy to return.

In any case, whether it’s in Spider-Man 3 or Doctor Strange 2or both, Marvel has clearly got a dream team-up cooking behind the scenes and we can’t wait to see all of the various live-action Peter Parkers finally unite on the big screen.

Andrew Garfield in Talks to Cameo in Doctor Strange 2

We’ve been informed by inside sources that Marvel and Andrew Garfield are currently in talks over having him appear in Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange 2. This comes after we were informed that the movie would also feature cameos from Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool and Tobey Maguire’s version of Spider-Man.

Andrew Garfield and Marvel are in talks over him playing his version of Spider-Man in the upcoming Doctor Strange sequel. The sequel, called Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness is being directed by Sam Raimi. It’s already been confirmed that this film will see Stephen Strange open up the MCU to the Multiverse and what’s been described as an “unspeakable evil”.

Now, I’ve been asking around trying to find out what that “unspeakable evil” could be, however, I haven’t been able to confirm anything on that end yet. What I do know is that Chiwetel Ejiofor’s Baron Mordo will be the man who ended up forcing Strange’s hand.

Andrew Garfield To Lead Brideshead Revisited Adaptation From Call Me By Your Name Director

Call Me By Your Name director Luca Gaudagnino will make an adaptation of Brideshead Revisited for the BBC, The Daily Mail reports.

The miniseries will be based on the 1945 novel of the same name by Evelyn Waugh, which follows the life and romances of Charles Ryder – particularly his relationship with the Flytes, a wealthy family who live in Brideshead Castle. It explores themes of aristocratic nostalgia, Catholicism and homosexuality – intriguing stuff.

The Mail reports that Andrew Garfield will play protagonist Charles Ryder, with Joe Alwyn as Sebastian Flyte and Rooney Mara as his sister Julia. Ralph Fiennes and Cate Blanchett are reportedly in negotiations to play Lady and Lord Marchmain, Sebastian and Julia’s parents. However, Deadline claims that casting deals remain in flux.

Spider-Man 3: Tobey Maguire & Andrew Garfield Signed On

FandomWire previously reported that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield were in talks for Spider-Man 3, starring Tom Holland. Now, a Sony source closely involved with Spider-Man 3 has confirmed that both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield have signed on to reprise their respective Spider-Man roles next to Tom Holland’s Peter Parker.

With the unlikely word of Jamie Foxx’s Electro leaking, the studio is reportedly furious that many have been able to speculate and prod insider contacts over this big surprise.

This will not just be a post-credits cameo scene. It sounds more like an Endgame reveal with Tom Holland’s Peter Parker facing MANY Spider-Man villains from across Sony’s Spider-Man movies, along with some new ones. Maguire’s Spider-Man and Garfield’s Spider-Man will join Holland’s universe to help him defeat them.

Reports have already confirmed Jamie Foxx’s Electro returning. Foxx himself even explained (before deleting it on Instagram) that he will not be his silly blue. However, we’re told this will be the same Electro from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 timeline – not a new version from a different timeline. Depending on how well this updated version plays, I’m also being told there are already talks of a possible Electro spin-off movie.

Andrew Garfield Joins The MCU As The Human Torch In New Fantastic Four Artwork

Andrew Garfield joins the MCU as Human Torch of the Fantastic Four in fiery artwork, as fans speculate just who exactly will play the team in the MCU.

Andrew Garfield joins the MCU in new artwork that features him as part of the Fantastic Four in the role of Human Torch. Garfield is no stranger to the Marvel Universe. The actor played Spider-Man in the second set of films about the web slinger. His Amazing Spider-Man films failed to make as big of an impact as Sony had hoped, leading them to reboot the franchise after two films. Tom Holland now stars in the role of Spider-Man after being introduced to the larger MCU in a partnership between Disney and Sony.

The Fantastic Four has had previous iterations, as well, with a total of three films being made about the group. The original two films came out in 2005 and 2007 and starred Chris Evans as the Human Torch before his major role as Captain America. A third, separate Fantastic Four film came out in 2015 with disastrous results. Now that Disney owns the full rights to the heroes they are sure to be introduced into the interconnected cinematic universe that Marvel has created.
